Jessica L. Ruiz is a MD candidate in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program at Harvard Medical School. She moved to Boston after completing a B.S. in Bioengineering at Rice University in 2013. Jessica joined the laboratory of Dr. Elena Aikawa in 2014 to study nucleating mechanisms of vesicle-mediated calcification in the vasculature. Jessica is continuing this work with Dr. Aikawa as a 2015-2016 Howard Hughes Medical Institute Medical Research Fellow.
