Krohn, Jona
Jona Krohn is a final year medical student at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. Having been interested in the field of Internal Medicine and Cardiology throughout medical school, his focus lies in the study of calcification in heart valves and arteriosclerosis. For his project on mitral valve adaptation, he works in collaboration with the Bischoff laboratory at Children’s Hospital Boston. Previous experiences in academic research include assistant positions at the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology and the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology at University Hospital Heidelberg. His research is supported by the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds MD Fellowship.
